That's my family and I right there! I'm a wife to Cameron (who assists me at most sessions) and a mom to three lovely souls: Wyatt, Everly, and Nora. We are well past the baby stage and I can't help but feel that deep desire to capture it all before I no longer have them to myself in this world. While I know a life doesn't end when the children leave, it is truly such a sacred part of this life and is something to be cherished.
I love capturing the tapestry of a life well-lived: when two lovers have gone end-game and begin a new story; the trepidatious anticipation of waiting on a new life; and all the various playful & romantic fibers that create the legacy of family. I
For my kids, I aim to raise them in a way that is better than what I received. I want them to be advocates for themselves and others and to know that they always have a voice and always have permission to speak up. It's important this flows over into my work also and how I treat my clients: creating a welcoming space for everyone, their voice and their individualism.
Family
This past Christmas holiday we gifted our kids with two miniature dachshunds! Their names are Maple and Nutmeg and we affectionately refer to them as "The Queen Weens," or "The Queeners." As a mom to 2/3 teens, owning wiener dogs has been the permission they needed for never-ending wiener jokes.

We loved working with April. She was so sweet with our twin girls (who are 3 and very much in their toddler era) and kept them happy and encouraged the whole time. The photos turned out amazing. I love her style it feels so cozy and homey, nothing like the typical family shoots we've done before. We're obsessed with how she captured us and can't wait to hang these up in our home.

Where do we begin?
[...] she came to our home for our newborn photos and that is an experience I will never forget. As a new mom there's no question you want to capture your new family member and new family unit. But the process for myself was a little daunting and vulnerable being only 5 days postpartum. April helped me every single step of the way through her thoughtful booking process - asking lots of open ended questions to allow me to elaborate on what was important to me [...] to guiding me day-of into the most flattering and comfortable positions. I was absolutely blown away by how our newborn photos turned out. I felt truly beautiful and I can see how at ease I was in each shot. Which again, at 5 days postpartum is such a blessing.

Our elopement photos were very well executed and organized.
